My father has a carpet shop. Carpets were the first work of art I saw when I opened my eyes, and during my childhood, our house was adorned with colorful and patterned carpets that colored my childhood world. These carpets inspired me to dream of the old legends that were depicted in carpet motifs, allowing me to visualize my favorite stories from my favorite books. Both watching carpets and reading books were my entertainment because I could lose myself in dreams, tales, and characters and forget my sorrows. I enjoy working with carpets because they take me to a world of imaginary stories. To preserve this beautiful heritage, I re-created damaged carpets that were no longer usable, and since hand-woven carpets are very expensive, I created these small carpets and frames so that even a small piece of this beautiful artwork can live in one’s home. Considering carpets as a noble work of art, I believe they can even be framed and provide positive energy to the ambiance of our homes, especially these antique ones which are more than 70 years old.
